The Role of Campus Culture in Ideological Guidance for College Students: From the Perspective of Environmental Education

Libin Zhang

Abstract

Against the backdrop of the integrated development of ecological civilization construction and college ideological and political
education, campus culture, as an implicit educational carrier, shares inherent value alignment with environmental education. Based on a mixed
research method, this paper explores the mechanism by which campus culture realizes ideological guidance for college students through environmental education from four dimensions: material, institutional, spiritual, and behavioral. The study finds that with environmental education as an intermediary, campus culture plays an important role in cultivating socialist core values, shaping a sense of social responsibility,
and enhancing awareness of ecological civilization through the transmission path of "perception-participation-internalization." Universities of
different types need to optimize campus culture construction in combination with their own characteristics to enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of ideological guidance.
