Research on the Relationship between Positive Psychological Capital and Learning Engagement among Junior High School Students

Abstract


Purpose: To explore the relationship between junior high school students'positive psychological capital and learning engagement.
Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 489 junior high school students in three schools in Zhejiang and Jiangsu using the Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire and Learning Engagement Scale. Results: The learning engagement level of junior high school
students is at a medium level (3.173.66). There is a positive correlation between the positive psychological capital and learning engagement
of junior high school students (r=0.498, p<0.01), and the former has a significant predictive effect on the latter (p<0.001). Conclusion: There
is a significant positive correlation between the learning engagement of junior high school students and positive psychological capital. Among
them, the correlation between learning vitality and positive psychological capital is the highest. Positive psychological capital has a significant
positive prediction effect on the level of learning engagement of junior high school students. The higher the level of positive psychological
capital, the higher the level of learning engagement.
