Research on Curriculum Development and Teaching Practice of "VR Interaction Design" Under the Outcome Based Education Approach

Na Li, Yawei Mao

Abstract

Addressing issues such as disconnect from industry demands and insufficient student outcomes in traditional courses for vocational
VR technology programs, this study systematically restructured the "VR Interaction Design" curriculum based on the Outcome-Based Educa
tion (OBE) philosophy. The study established teaching objectives centered on "functional VR works" and "intellectual property outcomes."
Through modular content reorganization, project-driven instruction, and a comprehensive multi-dimensional evaluation system, students
practical skills were significantly enhanced. Practice data indicates that post-reform, student project completion rates reached 100%, with a
notable increase in outstanding works and the successful incubation of multiple software copyrights. This model achieves a shift from knowl
edge transmission to competency-based outcomes, providing a reference for similar course reforms.
