students' cross-cultural competence, and promoting disciplinary learning. Based on an understanding of the cultivation goals of undergraduate
education and the current problems faced by college English teaching, this paper explores specific measures to effectively improve the qual
ity of college English teaching from aspects such as reconstructing the teaching orientation, optimizing the curriculum structure, reforming
teaching methods, refining the assessment mechanism, and augmenting faculty cohort to achieve synchronous development of college English
