Practice on Art and Design Teaching Innovation through a Cross-Disciplinary Integration Lens

Jia Luo

Abstract

In the era of rapid technological evolution and diversified development of the culture industry, traditional Art and Design teaching
suffers from increasingly prominent problems such as obvious disciplinary barriers, monotonous teaching content, and disconnection between
practice and industries, making it difficult to meet the demand for interdisciplinary design talent cultivation. This study, grounded in crossdisciplinary integration lens, analyzes the core dilemmas in current Art and Design teaching, explores the pathways for teaching innovation
from three dimensions: curriculum systems, teaching methods, and practice platforms, integrates cross-disciplinary teaching practice cases to
elaborate on the implementation strategies and support frameworks of cross-disciplinary integrated teaching, aiming to dismantle disciplinary
boundaries, integrate multi-source educational resources, cultivate students' interdisciplinary thinking and comprehensive innovation capabilities, promote Art and Design teaching to adapt to industrial development needs, improve the quality of design talent cultivation, and provide
practical reference for the reform in university Art and Design education.
