Constructing a Curriculum Framework for Cultivating Computational Thinking in AI General Education at Higher Education Institutions

Boyi Zeng

Abstract

Amidst the rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, computational thinking has emerged as a core competency
in higher education talent cultivation. AI general education provides a crucial platform for developing this competency. This study explores
the current status and challenges of cultivating computational thinking in AI general education at higher education institutions, clarifies the
main principles for constructing a curriculum framework, delves into scientific and rational construction pathways, and proposes practiceoriented refinements to curriculum implementation assurance, providing theoretical frameworks and actionable models for higher education
institutions to enhance AI general education quality and strengthen computational thinking cultivation.
