Research on the Value Coupling and Transmission Paths of Rap Music in College Ideological and Political Education from the Perspective of Youth Subculture

Nianzhang Li, Shuhan Yang

Abstract

As the digital media ecology evolves, traditional college ideological and political education (IPE) struggles to adapt to fragmented
youth circle cultures. Rap music, a prominent youth subculture, strongly resonates with contemporary students through its authentic expression and interactive engagement. This paper explores the value coupling between rap music and mainstream socialist values. To overcome
existing discourse barriers, we propose innovative IPE transmission paths utilizing rap through emotional empathy, discourse co-construction,
and symbolic empowerment, thereby offering practical approaches for cultural and aesthetic education in modern colleges.
