A Study on the Impact of Aerobics Exercise on the Physical Fitness and Mental Health of College Students
Abstract
daily routines, and lack of physical exercise can lead to declines in physical fitness, psychological anxiety, and interpersonal communication
barriers. Aerobics, as a mass sports activity integrating group exercises, dance, music, and aerobic exercises, has simple and easy-to-learn
movements, a light and lively rhythm, and strong entertainment value, which perfectly meets the sports needs of college students. Regular and
long-term participation in aerobics exercises can significantly enhance college students' cardiorespiratory endurance, muscle strength, physical
flexibility, and coordination, improve body posture and shape; at the same time, it effectively alleviates academic and life pressures, reduces
anxiety and depression, boosts self-confidence and interpersonal communication skills, and shapes a positive and healthy psychological state.
This paper systematically explores the positive impacts of aerobics on college students from two dimensions: physical fitness and mental
health, aiming to provide theoretical references for the establishment of college sports courses and the cultivation of lifelong exercise habits
among college students.
