Abstract


The development of Hainan Free Trade Port has created unprecedented growth opportunities for industries such as biomedicine,
healthcare, and cross-border pharmaceutical trade, while increasing demand for highly skilled pharmaceutical professionals. Vocational undergraduate pharmacy programs, as the core platform for cultivating applied pharmaceutical talent, bear the critical mission of aligning with the
Free Trade Port's industrial needs and supplying frontline technical experts. Grounded in the strategic positioning of Hainan Free Trade Port
development, this study analyzes current challenges in talent cultivation within vocational pharmacy programs. By examining training objectives, curriculum design, faculty development, practical education, and industry-academia collaboration, it explores optimized talent development pathways tailored to the Free Trade Port's growth trajectory. These efforts aim to enhance educational quality and drive high-quality
development in Hainan's pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
