Abstract


English is the most widely used language in the 21st century. With the progress of science and technology and the development of
society, Chinas education reform is also advancing. English teaching is an important part of college education and the focus of higher education reform. In the new era, college English autonomous learning meets the requirements of our college education reform and is an inevitable
trend of the times. This paper explores the importance of autonomous learning in college English in the new era, the problems existing in autonomous learning and the cultivation of autonomous learning ability.
