Rong Zhou

Abstract

With the development of globalization, English, as a commonly used language in international communication, has become increasingly important. College English teaching, an integral part of China's higher education system, aims to cultivate students' English application
ability and cross-cultural communication skills. However, the traditional college English teaching mode often focuses excessively on the cultivation of language skills while neglecting the ideological and political education of students. In the current context, it is crucial to incorporate
ideological and political education into the classroom and foster students' correct world outlook, life outlook, and values. This paper aims to
explore the reform strategies of college English teaching under the guidance of curriculum-based Ideological and Political Education, hoping
to contribute to the reform of college English teaching, promote the organic integration of English teaching and ideological and political education, and assist in cultivating outstanding talents with an international perspective and sound ideological and political accomplishment.
