VR Technology-Based Teaching Design for Junior High School Geography: A Case Study of Interpretation of Contour Maps
Abstract
With the rapid development of information technology, Virtual Reality (VR) technology, as an emerging teaching tool, is gradually integrating into the educational field, providing abundant resources and a vast platform for fostering students core literacy in geography. This paper takes the teaching difficulty of interpretation of contour maps in junior high school geography as the knowledge carrier,
constructs an immersive learning environment through VR technology, stimulates students interest in learning, enhances their spatial cognition and map analysis abilities, improves their learning motivation and effectiveness, and offers new ideas and methods for junior high
school geography teaching.
