Yao Huang

Abstract

Primary Chinese Language and Teaching Theory is the main discipline for training primary Chinese language teachers in the new
era, which highlights the professionalism of teachers. As the carrier of the course, the textbooks of Primary Chinese Language and Teaching
Theory should provide intrinsic support for the high-level modern teacher education system. This paper systematically reviews the development trajectory of Primary Chinese Language and Teaching Theory textbooks since the separate subject of Chinese was established in the
early 20th century, with the aim of contributing to the reform of teacher education.
