Kai Kou

Abstract

With the advancement of the Belt and Road initiative and the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Hainan, as an important
international open area, has gradually become a vanguard in tourism, culture, and economic exchanges. In this context, English-speaking tour
guides, as key talents connecting Chinese and foreign tourists, conveying culture, and providing services, bear significant responsibilities.
However, the current training model for English-speaking tour guides in Hainan faces numerous challenges, including insufficient talent supply, weak professional capabilities, and an imperfect training mechanism. This paper aims to analyze the current status of English-speaking
tour guide training under the background of the Hainan Free Trade Port, explore strategies for optimizing their training mechanisms, and propose enhancing the overall quality and service capabilities of English-speaking tour guides through educational reform, industry-academiaresearch collaboration, and curriculum optimization to meet the demands of Hainans international development.
