Abstract


This paper analyzes the connotation of intercultural communicative competence, describes its application in university English
teaching, and discusses in detail the corresponding teaching strategies and methods, including clarifying the teaching objectives, choosing
suitable teaching materials, creating diversified teaching situations, and perfecting the competence evaluation system, etc., which are aimed at
improving the quality of university English teaching and cultivating students intercultural communicative competence to adapt to the development needs of globalization.
