Abstract

This paper delves into the design aesthetics of arcade buildings from a semiotic perspective. By reviewing relevant theories in semiotics, it analyzes the symbolic composition of arcade architecture, including spatial, morphological, and decorative characteristics. It explores
how these symbols convey cultural connotations and aesthetic values, revealing the significant importance of arcade buildings in regional
cultural expression, historical memory preservation, and aesthetic creation. The paper aims to provide a theoretical basis for the protection,
