Strategies for Cultivating Students Intercultural Competence in College English Teaching

Abstract

Under the new international situation, English talents bear the crucial responsibility of spreading Chinese culture to the world and
telling Chinese stories well. Therefore, the cultivation of cross-cultural talents is of particular significance. As the main front for cultivating
English intercultural talents, colleges and universities should reconstruct the curriculum system and enhance the quality of curriculum teaching to improve the intercultural communication quality of intercultural talents. The article firstly analyzes the importance of the cultivation of
intercultural talents, and then puts forward specific strategies for colleges and universities to cultivate students intercultural competence in
English teaching for reference.
