Research on Public Space Design Strategy of University Scientific Research Buildings from the Perspective of Human Factor Engineering

Yihang Ren

Abstract

Based on the theory of human factor engineering, this paper deeply analyzes the design strategy of public space of scientific research buildings in universities. First of all, the connotation of human factors engineering is comprehensively expounded. Then, focusing on
the shortcomings of public space design of university scientific research buildings, the author puts forward targeted design strategies based on
the guidance of human factors engineering, combining the physical and mental needs of users, the functional needs of buildings and the creation of a comfortable and harmonious space environment. It is hoped that this study can further improve the quality of public space of university scientific research buildings, promote the efficient development of scientific research activities, and provide new ideas for the design of
university scientific research buildings.
