A Brief Analysis of Negative Transfer of Native Language on Chinese-English Translation of Senior High School Students and Its Countermeasures

Abstract


Negative transfer of the native language, a common interference in second language acquisition, significantly impacts the accuracy
of Chinese-English translation among high school students. This paper aims to investigate the role of negative transfer of native language
in high school students Chinese-English translation learning, while proposing effective coping strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
Through case analysis and theoretical analysis, the study identifies primary causes of negative transfer of native language. Based on this, the
paper proposes targeted strategies to counteract negative transfer in Chinese-English translation, with the goal of enhancing senior high school
students translation proficiency.
