The Exploration of Implementation Paths for Ideological and Political Education in Higher Education Curricula

Yiping Zhai

Abstract

As higher education reform deepens, integrating ideological and political education (IPE) into university curricula has become
a key strategy for cultivating students with both academic expertise and moral integrity. This paper examines the foundations, significance, challenges, and implementation paths of curriculum-based IPE. Through literature review and case analysis, it identifies effective approaches such as interdisciplinary integration, enhanced teacher-student interaction, curriculum evaluation, and digital tools. The
study concludes that systematic design, faculty training, institutional support, and student-centered innovation are vital for effective
implementation.
