The Impact of College Students' Academic Self-Efficacy on Learning Burnout: A Moderated Mediation Study with Learning Motivation
Abstract
employed a questionnaire survey method to examine over 900 university students in Hainan Province. Results revealed moderate levels of
burnout indicators including emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment, with low achievement being the most
prominent manifestation. Rural students exhibited significantly higher burnout levels than urban counterparts, and burnout severity progressively increased with advancing academic years. Furthermore, academic self-efficacy and learning motivation were identified as partial mediators between burnout and academic self-efficacy/motivation.
