Research on the Situation, Problems, and Strategies of Picture Book Utilization in Rural Kindergartens

Abstract

Picture books serve as a vital medium for early childhood development, yet their utilization in rural kindergartens—such as those in
Yulin City—faces multiple challenges. Key issues include limited teacher competence, low parental awareness, scarce resources, and insufficient policy support. To address these problems, this study proposes strategies focusing on teacher training, home-kindergarten collaboration,
resource investment, and policy improvement. These measures aim to enhance the effectiveness of picture book education and ultimately improve the quality of early childhood education in rural areas.
