Abstract
new generations for the era alongside public institutions. Against the backdrop of new media technologies profoundly reconstructing the communication ecology, online ideological and political education in private universities must both grasp the opportunities afforded by technological empowerment and confront practical challenges such as the misalignment between educational content supply and youth needs, and
the insufficient adaptation of traditional models to the digital ecosystem. This paper takes online ideological and political education in private
universities in the new media era as its entry point, analyzes the challenges currently faced, and proposes optimization pathways. These include constructing deeply integrated online and offline educational platforms, building a new media matrix for ideological and political education content, utilizing big data for precise profiling to analyze student needs, and establishing a participatory student interaction ecosystem
for ideological and political education. The aim is to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education in private universities,
promote the innovative development of ideological and political education in the new era, and enhance the quality of talent cultivation.
