Human-Machine Collaborative Teaching: Role Positioning and Complementarity Research of AI Teachers and Human Teachers

Changjing Ma

Abstract

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technology, AI teachers have emerged as a transformative force in education.
This study investigates the role positioning and complementary dynamics between AI teachers and human educators in human-computer
collaborative teaching. First, it analyzes the respective strengths and limitations of AI teachers and human instructors. Second, a theoretical
framework for human-computer collaborative teaching is proposed, detailing the role assignments of AI teachers and human educators across
various instructional stages. Finally, empirical research validates the feasibility and effectiveness of this teaching model, while providing ac
tionable implementation strategies and recommendations.
