Improvement Pathways for the Talent Cultivation Quality in Vocational Education Based on Deep Industry-Education Integration

Jue Wang

Abstract

Deep industry-education integration is a crucial breakthrough for addressing disconnection between talent cultivation in vocational
education and industrial evolution, and for enhancing the quality of talent cultivation. It is also an effective way to show the typological DNA
of vocational education and serve for industrial evolution. At present, industry-education integration in vocational education suffers from
"Structural Alignment without Functional Synergy" and "Formal Fusion without Substantive Unity", mostly remaining at superficial coopera
tion, failing to achieve effective alignment between the education chain and the industry chain. Based on the current situation of vocational
education, this paper first analyzes the main challenges in industry-education integration. Then, it explores actionable methods for improving
the talent cultivation quality from talent cultivation program improvement, school-enterprise cooperative education, faculty team construction,
cultivation method reform, and other aspects, aiming to provide insights for vocational universities to promote industry-education integration
and cultivate technical talents that adapt to the requirements of industrial evolution.
