Innovative Methodologies and Implementation Pathways for Sustainability-based Environmental Design
Abstract
ability has become the core guiding principle for the transformation and development of the environmental design industry, overcoming the
limitations of traditional environmental design that "emphasizes form over environmental protection" and "emphasizes aesthetics over func
tionality". Currently, in the field of environmental design, there are still some practical challenges such as resource waste, insufficient ecologi
cal adaptability, and disconnection between design and sustainability, failing to meet people's needs for green, low-carbon and livable space.
This paper, based on contextualized design scenarios, deeply explores sustainability-based innovative methodologies for Environmental De
sign, and proposes practical and actionable implementation pathways based on specific design scenarios such as interior and landscape design,
avoiding abstract theories and focusing on the effective implementation of designs, aiming to provide practical reference for the environmen
tal design industry to practice the Sustainability Principles and achieve innovative development, and contribute to cultivating living space that
integrates ecological resilience, functional efficacy, and aesthetic integrity.
