Constructing the Data Security Legal Curriculum Architecture in Higher Education within the AI Era

Jian Li

Abstract

The integration of AI technologies with teaching, learning, and research management in higher education institutions, while
advancing institutional informatization and operational efficiency, has concurrently triggered issues such as student personal information
leakage, misuse of research data, and insufficient campus data compliance. This underscores the critical need for data security legal education within higher education institutions. Grounding its analysis in the practical realities of university teaching, this study adopts a pragmatic, result-oriented approach. Starting from key challenges in curriculum development, it proposes actionable solutions to support higher
education institutions in implementing effective data security legal education programs, and cultivating talent with robust awareness and
competence in data security governance, thereby enabling higher education institutions to establish a resilient legal safeguard framework
for campus data security.
