Research on Adolescent Mental Health Status Under the Influence of Social Media

Ge Lan

Abstract

This study delves into the relationship between social media use and adolescent mental health, primarily through empirical research
that highlights the interactive effects between the two. By analyzing extensive survey data from adolescents, we identified that factors such
as the frequency and type of social media usage significantly influence emotional states, social skills, and self-esteem. In response, the paper
proposes targeted intervention strategies, offering valuable insights for educators, parents, and policymakers alike.
