Epidemiological Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Lung Cancer Patients

Xiaofeng Wu

Abstract

The comorbidity of lung cancer and OSA affects treatment and prognosis, and requires collaborative intervention. Research
shows that the incidence of OSA in lung cancer patients is 30% -50%, but the diagnosis is less than 40%, and late stage misdiagnosis is
significant. Chemotherapy exacerbates OSA, and the mechanisms of hypoxia or tumor progression promotion are unclear. Suggest establishing multidisciplinary screening, developing specialized assessment tools, dynamically adjusting treatment plans, optimizing respiratory
support and radiotherapy chemotherapy timing, implementing graded management, and strengthening translational research to establish
prognostic models.
