The Plasticity of Senescent Cells in the Tumor Microenvironment and Targeted Strategies

Qi Qi, Wei Gong, Lixin Zeng

Abstract

Senescent cells in the tumor microenvironment exhibit significant phenotypic plasticity, and this dynamic characteristic has an important impact on disease progression. Focusing on the bidirectional regulatory mechanisms between senescent cells and the tumor stroma, we
analyze their secretome characteristics and intercellular communication patterns. By establishing a multi-omics analysis platform with singlecell resolution, we reveal the regulatory role of senescent cells in tumor heterogeneity formation, providing new theoretical insights for developing microenvironment-targeted intervention strategies.
