Body Genes and Digital Twins: A New Teaching Path for the Living Inheritance of Intangible Cultural Heritage Dance -- Taking the Baima Tibetan 'Tiao Cao Gai' as an Example

Sha Liao*, Ting Zhang, Qingfeng Wu

Abstract

Digital heritage dance transmission integration into vocational education is quite common, however there is a problem of separation
between appearance and essence (i.e., "can replicate forms, but essence and context hard to pass down"). The old fashioned digital models
usually have no cultural interpretation, teaching power is weak. We take an example, Ba Ma Zang nationality's intangible cultural heritage
ritual dance: Tiao Caogai, to set up a dynamic teaching model which is based upon the dual coupling of "bodily gene" and "digital twin". This
paper creates a 3D body gene analyzing system of "form, " "style", and "semantics" as well as the 4D digital twin teaching system so that it
completes the loop between understanding the intangible cultural relic and digitalizing it. With its mix of the virtual and real aspects turning hidden bodily and ceremony meanings in to something teachable, something countable; thus providing some answers to some traditional
teaching troubles in intangibles- culture being left behind when skill takes priority and original settings ignored; offering some possible options around the idea of saving these through the numbers as digital ones would do. Provide both the theory and pathway for the development
of intangible cultural heritage course in vocational college.
