Research on Landscape Design of Beautiful Village Construction Under the Background of Rural Revitalization

Junhua Yu

Abstract

The Rural Revitalization Strategy positions "ecological livability" as a core requirement. As a key approach to enhancing rural living environments, preserving local culture, and revitalizing villages, landscape design serves as a crucial support for achieving the goal of
building "Beautiful Villages". This paper examines the strategic value and functional positioning of landscape design in Beautiful Village
construction under the Rural Revitalization Strategy. It analyzes current issues such as "uniform village designs", loss of local culture, ecological damage, and functional mismatches with villagers' needs. Four-dimensional design strategies "ecology-first, roots in local culture,
functional adaptation, and villager participation" are proposed. Case studies validate the feasibility of these strategies, aiming to provide
theoretical references and practical pathways for creating beautiful village landscapes that integrate ecological value, cultural depth, and livelihood benefits. These efforts contribute to realizing the overarching goals of "thriving industries, eco-friendly living, civilized rural customs,
effective governance, and prosperous livelihoods" in rural areas.
