Research on the Integration of Smart Balcony Garden Technology Progress (2024-2025): A Systematic Review and Future Outlook (with Technical Implementation Pseudocode Interpretation)

Xiaobo Xu

Abstract

Smart Balcony Gardens (SBGs), as a core interdisciplinary field integrating Urban Agriculture, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), provide a novel pathway to address global food security, urban space scarcity, and sustainable development challenges.
This study synthesizes cuttingedge technological achievements and authoritative market data from 2024 to 2025, systematically sorting out
breakthroughs in upgraded LoRaWAN communication, multimodal AI maintenance, precision sensing fusion, and lowcarbon sustainable
systems. Concurrently, combined with an independently developed SDL2 visualization system (implemented in C language), the technical
implementation logic is interpreted via simplified pseudocode. Market analysis, validated through crossvalidation of multisource authoritative
data[1], shows that Chinas smart balcony planting system market reached 5.802 billion yuan in 2024 (95% confidence interval [4.932, 6.672]
billion yuan), with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.7% from 2024 to 2030[1]. Core innovations include the LoRaWAN hybrid
communication architecture[2], AgriQA Net multimodal AI maintenance, and rainwater recycling coupled with solarstorage integrated systems.
A five dimensional technical framework of "Perception Communication Decision Execution Low Carbon" is proposed, and the code implementation provides empirical support for technical application.
