Research on the Construction Model of the Data Science and Big Data Technology Program Based on Engineering Education Accreditation in the Context of Emerging Engineering Education
Abstract
Outcome-Based Education (OBE), student-centeredness, and continuous improvementhave become fundamental guiding principles for the
development of emerging engineering disciplines. Guided by the standards of engineering education accreditation, this paper systematically
explores a construction pathway for the Data Science and Big Data Technology (DSBDT) undergraduate program. We propose and implement
a four-dimensional "CPCC" (CultivationPracticeCompetitionCareer) training model, which establishes an integrated talent development
mechanism encompassing cultivation, practice, competition, and career progression. This model effectively maps course-level learning out
comes to program-level graduate attributes and significantly deepens industryeducation integration. Empirical evidence demonstrates that the
CPCC model substantially enhances the quality of talent cultivation and offers a replicable paradigm for accreditation-oriented development
of similar emerging engineering programs.
