Digital Archiving and Innovative Pathways of Hainan Li Brocade Craftsmanship in the Context of Intangible Cultural Heritage Database Construction

Kaili Zhang, Longxiang Xu

Abstract

In the macro-context of China national digital ICH database system establishment, the digital protection and living development of
the traditional spinning, dyeing, weaving and embroidering techniques of the Li ethnic group has become an important ICH transmission task
in Hainan. Li brocade is the core component of the Li ethnic culture, embodying the unique ethnic craftsmanship and cultural connotations of
the Li people. This study explores long-term strategies suitable for the development of Li brocade craftsmanship through three aspects: digital
archiving optimization, transmission method innovation, and industrial innovation. It also provides theoretical basis for the digital protection,
living transmission, and industrialization of ICH in Hainan.
