Exploring Chinese University Students Usage of English Mobile Apps

Abstract


With the upsurge in ownership of smartphones and tablets, mobile apps infiltrated Chinese students English learning. Comprehending their usage patterns is essential for enhancing English language education. This research examines the mobile learning behaviors of 578 Chinese university students via a questionnaire survey. The survey investigates multiple facets of app usage, including location, frequency, duration, and preferred app categories. Through data analysis, this study aims to provide insights into the current state of mobile-assisted English learning among Chinese university students and propose recommendations for future educational methodologies.
