A Study on Characters Translation in Black Myth: Wukong from the Perspective of Relevance Theory

Abstract


Black Myth: Wukong has attracted considerable attention for its fusion of traditional culture and values. To enhance the gaming experience for overseas players and facilitate their understanding of Chinese traditional culture, the translation of character names in the game is particularly important. This article will analyze the English translation strategies for character names from the perspective of Relevance Theory, aiming to provide reference for the international promotion of domestic games.
