The Adaptability of the Professional Structure of Vocational Colleges in Chongqing to the Development of New Productive Forces

Abstract

This study explores the reform strategies for the professional structure setting of higher vocational colleges in Chongqing and their adaptability to the development of new quality productive forces. Focusing on the new quality productive force development needs required by the 33618 modern manufacturing cluster system construction in Chongqing, this study analyzes the professional structure of higher vocational colleges and their adaptability to the development of new quality productive forces. The results show that the matching degree between the professional structure of higher vocational colleges and the regional industrial structure is not high; the phenomenon of homogenization in professional settings is relatively serious; and problems such as the disconnection between the professional structure and the development needs of new quality productive forces are prominent. To optimize the professional structure setting of higher vocational colleges and better adapt to the needs of new quality productive force development, corresponding optimization strategies such as taking industrial demands as the orientation for professional setting; highlighting characteristic specialties to avoid homogenized competition; and focusing professional settings on the development needs of new quality productive forces have been proposed in a targeted manner, thereby enhancing the compatibility between the professional structure setting of higher vocational colleges and the development needs of new quality productive forces.
