Construction and Application of a Standardized Evaluation System for Electrocardiogram Interpretation Ability

Lanlan Lu

Abstract

The first purpose of interpreting an ECG in the hospital is for all. Currently, most of the evaluations are based on experience, lack standardisation, and do not accurately reflect the actual abilities of the learners. With the development of clinical teaching and telemedicine, there is an urgent need to build a scientific, practical and comparable standardised evaluation system that can guide teaching, optimise training and ensure the quality of medical care and patient safety. Standardisation will be introduced to reduce the fluctuation of judgement in ECG grading, clarify the goals of education, and provide a standard for regular assessments of doctors’ work at different schools. It will help to promote the normalisation, improvement and institutionalisation of ECG teaching and clinical practice.
