Exploration of Sustainable Development and Green Building in Construction Engineering Management

Yanbo Zhu

Abstract

This study investigates sustainable development and green building practices in construction engineering management. Against the
backdrop of global climate change and resource scarcity, it analyzes core dimensions of sustainable development concepts and green building
characteristics, while exploring implementation pathways such as eco-friendly material selection, water conservation and reuse, and waste
recycling. The research demonstrates that green buildings can reduce lifecycle energy consumption, minimize pollution, and enhance living
quality, playing a crucial role in advancing the green transformation of the construction industry.
