A Study on the Dual-Track Education Model of "Self-Care + Psychological Support" in Higher Education Institutions Based on Student Needs Reflected by Popular Online Terms

Linting Li

Abstract

Popular online terms are a concrete expression of the psychological needs of college students. "Love yourself" implicitly reflects
the intrinsic need for self-acceptance and emotional self-consistency among college students, while "Psychological counselor, I'm not feeling
well" exposes the practical shortcomings of the grassroots psychological support system. This article uses these two popular terms as observation windows, focusing on the real-world dilemmas of psychological education in universities. It constructs a dual-track education model of
"self-care + psychological support, " analyzes the value logic, practical obstacles, and optimization paths of this dual-track collaboration, and
proposes to achieve an organic integration of "self-help + mutual help + other-help" by strengthening self-empowerment, improving the support system, and establishing a sound collaborative mechanism. This provides a practical paradigm for universities in the new era to improve
the effectiveness of psychological education and implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talent.
