Ecological Service Value of the Fen River Basin
Abstract
development, it is crucial to investigate the spatiotemporal differentiation of ecosystem services and ecological threats in the basin. In accordance with the 1980, 1990, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020 land use data, This study used ecological service value (ESV) evaluation methods to quantitatively evaluate the spatiotemporal evolution and related characteristics of ESV. The results showed that: High value areas were
extensively dispersed, whereas low value areas were dispersed. One of the main causes of the decline in ESV is an increase of building land
area. The improvement of ecological service function and the development of ecological security pattern in the Fenhe River Basin are greatly
impacted by encouraging the optimization of land use structure, sensibly limiting the scale of urban construction, and improving the protection of forest land and water area.
