A Study on the International Discourse Construction of English Translation of Ryukyu Chinese Poetry Under the Background of New Media Communication

Abstract

Ryukyu Chinese poetry this incredible bridge, centuries of back-and-forth between China and the Ryukyus, all packed into these
verses. But those old-school translations just aren't cutting it anymore. They're not hooking overseas readers like they used to. So here's where
new media steps in. Of course, it's not all smooth sailing. Those cultural images often come out feeling clunky and forced. Does that mean Ryukyu poetry is just stuck, doomed to stay trapped in this tough spot? What if we start training translators who actually get the vibe, not just the
words, Or build interactive digital platforms where people can play around with the text. And then there's cross-border collaborationâ€”getting
creators on both sides to actually talk. Suddenly, the whole picture starts looking different. Here's the interesting part: through new media,
translation doesn't have to be this one-way dump of text. It becomes a real conversationâ€”two-sided, back-and-forth. And when that happens?
Those treasures of Eastern classical culture finally get to claim their own space to speak.
