Exploration of the Construction of Hangzhou Disabled Persons’ Homes -- Based on User Support Survey of 46 Disabled Persons’ Homes

Abstract

General Secretary Xi Jinping once said, “The cause of people with disabilities is a spring cause, a vast social system project that
requires extensive mobilization of various sectors and forces of society to carry out activities to assist and support people with disabilities.”
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi
Jinping as the core, Zhejiang Province has always adhered to the people-centered development ideology, and attached great importance to the
well-being of people with disabilities and the construction of homes for people with disabilities in the process of striving to create an “important
window” and high-quality development to build a demonstration zone for common prosperity.This article explores the development model of
disability homes that meets the progressive construction of “survival development trust”. This reflects the hierarchical structure of disability
homes, from the improvement of infrastructure to the satisfaction of individual needs, and then to the pursuit of higher values by individuals
themselves. It also reflects the continuous deepening understanding and emphasis on the social status and needs of disabled people.
