Visualisation and Analysis of the 2020 - 2024 Production Line Balancing Study Based on VOSviewer and CiteSpace

Abstract


Production line balancing is significant in optimizing smart manufacturing and industrial engineering. Based on 1432 documents
(171 in Chinese and 1261 in English) collected by CNKI and Web of Science from 2020-2024, this paper uses VOSviewer and CiteSpace to
conduct visual analysis, which reveals the research dynamics: the average annual growth rate of English documents reaches 22.3%, while the
volume of Chinese documents is The hotspots have experienced three stages of basic modelling (2020-2021), efficiency optimization (2021-
2022) and intelligent collaborative decision-making (2022-2024), with the main focus on multi-objective genetic algorithms, digital twins and
human-machine ergonomics integration. In the future, it is necessary to strengthen the in-depth integration of intelligent algorithms and industrial practices, build a carbon-neutral oriented green balance system, and promote the standardised development of human-machine collaborative mechanisms.
