The Status Quo, Problems and Countermeasures of Promoting Green Citrus Production Technology in Guilin
Abstract
Guilin City, a leading citrus production area in China, accounts for more than one-third of Guangxis citrus production, with an
output value exceeding 20 billion yuan. It serves as a key pillar of the regions agricultural and rural economy. However, traditional planting
practices, such as excessive fertilization, pesticide misuse, and pollution, pose significant challenges to the industrys sustainable development.
This study examines the current status and issues of promoting green production technologies in the area, identifying three main problems:
insufficient publicity, weak promotion capabilities, and incomplete policies. The study proposes five improvement strategies: establishing a
collaborative mechanism among government, research institutions, enterprises, and farmers; deepening reforms in the agricultural technology system; improving fiscal and financial incentive policies; promoting technical standardization and integration across the entire industrial
chain; and developing smart orchards and big data centers. By leveraging multi-party collaboration and digital empowerment, these measures
aim to overcome the bottlenecks in technology promotion and support the green production of citrus.
