Advances in Deep Treatment Technologies for Coal Chemical Wastewater and Evaluation of Application Effects

Zihan Yang

Abstract

Deep treatment technologies for coal chemical wastewater constitute the key solution to environmental pollution issues in the coal
chemical industry. This paper investigates the latest research progress in current deep treatment technologies for coal chemical wastewater,
covering applications of biological methods, physicochemical methods, and combined processes, while comprehensively evaluating their
implementation effectiveness. Through optimization of existing treatment processes, the concentrations of refractory organic compounds and
heavy metal ions in wastewater can be effectively reduced, water recovery rates can be enhanced, and the dual objectives of resource recycling and environmental protection can be achieved. Nevertheless, challenges including high operational costs and secondary pollution risks
persist throughout the treatment process. Future research must focus on developing novel high-efficiency, low-cost technologies to satisfy
increasingly stringent environmental regulatory requirements.
