Design of an Efficient Tennis Serve Training Program and Its Impact on Match Performance

Qian Peng

Abstract

As the most initiative-driven technical component in tennis matches, serving directly affects the control of match rhythm and
scoring efficiency. This study focuses on the design and practical outcomes of a high-efficiency tennis serve training program. Firstly,
based on the components and influencing factors of serving techniques, the study proposes a scientifically sound training module that
includes technical refinement, specific physical conditioning, and simulated match scenarios. Secondly, selected athletes underwent a
period of structured training, and both quantitative and qualitative methods were used to evaluate changes in their serving performance
and match results. Finally, through empirical data analysis, the study examines how athletes at different skill levels adapt to the training, summarizes the strategic value of serve training in actual matches, and provides suggestions for further optimization. The results
show that a systematic and personalized serve training program can significantly improve serve quality and effectively enhance match
performance.
