New Developments and Challenges of Electrical Automation Systems in the Context of Industry 4.0

Xiaonan Qi

Abstract

With the proposal and development of the concept of Industry 4.0, the global manufacturing industry is undergoing profound digital
and intelligent transformation. As a core supporting technology of modern industrial production, electrical automation has demonstrated unprecedented development potential and application prospects in this process. Starting from the technical background of Industry 4.0, this paper
analyzes the new progress of electrical automation systems in aspects such as intelligent manufacturing, industrial Internet of Things, and the
integration of artificial intelligence, and discusses the key challenges they face in practical applications, including security, standardization,
talent shortage, and data governance. By summarizing current research achievements and typical cases, this paper proposes suggestions for
the sustainable development of electrical automation systems, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for researchers and
engineering technicians in related fields.
