The Study on Cost Optimization of JD Fresh Cold Chain Logistics
Abstract
models (third-party, self-operated, community-based and alliance), and dissects the cost structure across storage, transportation, information,
human resources and product loss. It then uses JD Cold Chain Logistics as a case study to illustrate the key cost driversheavy upfront investment, high spoilage, rising labour expenses and hidden supply-chain costsand details JDs counter-measures: rational warehouse layout,
IoT-based monitoring, automation and supply-chain optimisation. The findings offer practical guidance for Chinese fresh-e-commerce practitioners to balance service quality and cost efficiency.
